Community Beautification Projects
Beautification efforts continue to take shape throughout Montezuma. Montezuma Community Development successfully raised more than $14,000 for the project, including grants received from the South Central Iowa Solid Waste Agency and Keep Iowa Beautiful. Continued improvements will enhance the landscape design at each of the four gateways to the city, Highway 63 corridor, and other distinctive landmarks and historical monuments throughout the community. Montezuma Community Development has partnered with ISU Extension, Master Gardeners throughout Poweshiek County, Montezuma FFA Greenhouse, and other local volunteers.
