Montezuma Ambulance is a municipal emergency medical service that provides coverage for the City of Montezuma and surrounding rural area. We cover an area that is almost 200 square miles, responding to the needs of most of the southern half of Poweshiek County. A new 2023 F450 ambulance will be delivered by the end of February 2024 giving our service a total of three ambulances. This will be a great benefit to the department which covers an average of 350 calls for service each year. 
Montezuma Ambulance is an A level service, staffed by volunteer drivers and EMTs. The service is administered by the City of Montezuma and supported by ambulance revenues as well as property tax dollars from residents of Montezuma and surrounding townships.
