Regional Alliance for Innovative Development

Region 6 Planning Commission

Region 6 Planning Commission, headquartered in Marshalltown, is a voluntary association of local governments established in 1974 to provide member communities with professional services in the areas of comprehensive planning, access to federal and state transportation funding, housing assistance, public transit services, and grant writing and administration.   If you are currently operating a business or considering starting a business, Region 6 provides loans to qualified professional services, commercial establishments, or industrial businesses in a 4 county area.  Region 6 assistance has created 59 new jobs, saved 30 existing jobs and leveraging $28 million in funding.  It is the Region 6 Planning Commission’s goal to promote economic development throughout the region.  WEBSITE
